2. Flexible Bearings Structure:

Flexible bearings for harmonic reducer drive inner hole match with oval shaped cam outer ring; Outer ring which can do elastic deformation to match with flex spline’s opening part inner ring. Flexspline’s opening part outer ring engraved gear engaged with rigid spline teeth. Rigid spline teeth are more than flexspline. Flexspline and rigid spline engaged with each other on long shaft and separated on short shaft. Flexspline bottom is fixed on the output terminal. Rigid bearing is installed on the reducer output terminal and connected with outside.

For low friction torque/high rigidity/good rotation accuracy of bearings, steel balls with small outer diameters are used, and the use of hollow shafts ensures space for light weight and wiring. Thin-walled bearings are highly accurate, very quiet and have a high load carrying capacity. Even with larger shaft diameters and bearing bores, the cross-section remains the same. therefore, these bearings are also known as thin section bearings.

In the work of flexible bearings, the inner ring is installed on the elliptical cam, the outer ring is installed on the flexible wheel, and the elastic deformation occurs with the rotation of the cam, which not only bears the cyclic stress load, but also bears the alternating stress load.
